Daily Requirements & Program Overview
We are excited to welcome your child to a summer full of learning, growth, fitness, and adventure!
Please carefully review the following information to ensure your child has a safe, successful, and enjoyable camp experience.
DAILY REQUIREMENTS

Camp T-Shirt (Mandatory)
All students must wear their Wilde Lake Karate Summer Camp T-shirt every day.
Camp T-shirts are provided on the first day of camp (Recommended to purchase more than one)
Students without a camp T-shirt may be excluded from certain outdoor activities or field trips for safety and identification purposes.
Additional camp T-shirts are available for purchase for $15.00 each. We strongly recommend purchasing more than one shirt, as campers are required to wear their camp shirt daily.

Closed-Toe Shoes
Proper athletic shoes are required every day.
For campers ages 5–8, Velcro or slip-on athletic shoes are recommended to promote independence and minimize delays during transitions.
Sandals, Crocs, flip-flops, and open-toe footwear are not permitted.

Comfortable Clothing
Students should wear athletic shorts, sweatpants, or other sports-appropriate clothing.
Skirts and restrictive clothing are discouraged due to physical activities.
Campers should be prepared for both indoor and outdoor activities each day.

Labeled Water Bottle
Please send a reusable water bottle labeled with your child’s name.
Proper hydration is essential, especially during outdoor activities and fitness sessions.

Swimming Gear
Please send the following items on swimming days:
• Swimsuit
• Towel
• Spray sunscreen
All swimming items should be packed in a separate bag clearly labeled with the child’s name.

Face Masks (Optional)
Masks are optional and may be worn based on family preference.
We encourage all students and families to respect individual choices.

Lunch and Snacks
Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks daily.
Refrigerators and microwaves are available for use.
Lunch Money Option
Parents may send lunch money instead of packing lunch.
Lunch money must be handed directly to a staff member during drop-off.
Staff maintains a lunch log and supervises all purchases.

Local Chinese and Indian Cuisine – Starting at approximately $10
PICK-UP TIMES & EXTENDED CAMP
4:00 PM – 4:20 PM
Snack Time
(Please send a snack with your child daily.)
4:20 PM – 4:30 PM
Regular Camp Pick-Up
For campers enrolled in the standard 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM program.
4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Extended Camp Activities
• Taekwondo Classes
• Outdoor Games
• Organized Activities
Advance registration is required.
5:30 PM – 5:59 PM
Extended Camp Pick-Up Window
All campers enrolled in Extended Camp must be picked up no later than 6:00 PM.
STUDENT GROUPS
To provide consistency and supervision, students are assigned to groups each Monday.
Morning Groups

Please note that age is the primary factor used for group placement. However, instructors may adjust group assignments based on ability, maturity, safety considerations, or other program needs.
Students remain with their assigned group throughout the day to promote friendships, teamwork, consistency, and safety.

Daily schedules may vary depending on weather conditions, special events, field trips, and camp attendance.
FITNESS FOR KIDS
Our camp includes dedicated fitness and workout sessions designed to promote physical fitness, strength, endurance, and overall well-being.
Fitness activities may include:

• Obstacle Courses
• Team Fitness Challenges
• Functional Movement Exercises
• Martial Arts Conditioning
With the addition of our fitness equipment, campers will participate in age-appropriate workouts designed to improve coordination, balance, flexibility, endurance, and healthy lifestyle habits in a fun and encouraging environment.
SWIMMING PROGRAM
Swimming is offered three times per week:

Swimming Program Based on Ability
Beginner Level – Red Wristband
• Water Safety Instruction
• Introduction to Swimming
• Basic Swimming Skills
• Beginner Swim Instruction
Intermediate Level – Blue Wristband
• Recreational Swimming Only
• No Formal Instruction Provided
Advanced Level – Green Wristband
• Recreational Swimming Only
• No Formal Instruction Provided
Water Safety Emphasis
All participants receive reminders regarding water safety, pool awareness, and safe swimming practices.
Camp staff supervises all pool activities and group students according to swimming ability levels to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
THURSDAY FIELD TRIPS
Field trips take place every Thursday throughout the summer.
Destinations may include:
• Skating Rinks
• Nature Centers
• Recreational Facilities
• Special Attractions
• Community Events
Field trip details, departure times, requirements, and reminders will be provided through weekly newsletters and camp announcements.
Students are required to wear their Wilde Lake Karate Camp T-shirt on all field trip days for identification and safety purposes.
Trips may be modified, postponed, or replaced with special in-house activities due to weather conditions, facility availability, transportation issues, or safety concerns.
Please note that field trip destinations and schedules are subject to change without notice. Our goal is to provide exciting, educational, and memorable experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety and supervision.
All campers are expected to follow camp rules and demonstrate courtesy, respect, and responsibility while representing Wilde Lake Karate in the community.

WEATHER & SAFETY
Field trips and outdoor activities may be adjusted, postponed, or canceled due to weather conditions or safety concerns.
Families will be notified promptly through email and text messaging when schedule changes occur.
The safety of our students remains our highest priority.
CAMP WEEK CHANGE POLICY
Camp weeks may be changed one time only as a courtesy on or before May 1, 2026.
Weeks may not be removed or canceled once selected.
After May 1, 2026, no schedule changes will be permitted.
CANCELLATION POLICY

In summary:
• Cancellations received on or before April 30, 2026 may qualify for a credit or refund, less registration, field trip, and camp T-shirt fees.
• After May 1, 2026, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Registration fees, field trip fees, and camp T-shirt fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.
