🌟 Wilde Lake Karate Summer Camp 2025
Daily Requirements & Program Overview
We are excited to welcome your child to a summer full of learning, growth, and adventure!
Please carefully review the following important details to ensure your child has a safe, successful, and enjoyable camp experience.
🎒 Daily Requirements
1. Camp T-shirt (Mandatory):
All students must wear the Wilde Lake Karate camp T-shirt every day.
Camp T-shirts are provided on the first day.
Students without a T-shirt may be excused from participating in outdoor or group activities for safety and identification reasons.
Additional T-shirts are available for purchase at $14.00 each.
2. Closed-Toe Shoes:
Proper athletic shoes must be worn daily.
For ages 5–8, we recommend shoes without laces (e.g., Velcro shoes) to promote independence and avoid delays.
3. Comfortable Bottoms:
Students should wear sports-appropriate shorts or gym pants.
Skirts are not permitted for girls due to active sports activities.
Students should be prepared for both indoor and outdoor physical games.
4. Labeled Water Bottle:
Please send a reusable water bottle labeled with your child’s name.
Staying hydrated throughout the day is critical, especially during outdoor activities.
5. Swimming Gear:
Students must bring swimsuits, towels, and spray-on sunscreen every Monday.
It is recommended to pack swim gear in a separate bag.
6. Face Masks (Optional):
Masks are optional based on personal preference.
We encourage respect for individual choices regarding mask use.
7. Lunch and Snacks:
Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks each day.
Refrigerators and microwaves are available for student use.
Lunch Money Option: Parents may send lunch money, which must be handed to staff at drop-off. Staff maintains a log and will supervise and assist students in purchasing lunch.
Local lunch options include:
Pizza Bolis (Pizza & Subs) – from $8.00
Bagel Bin (Bagels & Sandwiches) – from $8.00
Chinese & Indian Restaurants – from $10.00
📅 Camp Schedule & Group Assignments
Students are grouped every Monday based on age, skill, and activity needs.
Morning Groups: Group 1, Group 2, Group 3
Afternoon Groups: Group A, Group B
Students remain with their group throughout the day’s scheduled activities to build friendships and promote teamwork.

👉 Please note that the daily schedule may vary depending on weather conditions and special events.
🏊 Swimming & Swim Lessons
Swimming is offered twice per week, organized by age groups:
B Group (Older Students): Swim Days: Monday & Wednesday
A Group (Younger Students): Swim Days: Tuesday & Thursday
Swimming Program:
Beginner Level: Introduction to water safety and basic swim skills.
Intermediate Level: Freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke development.
Advanced Level: Mastery of strokes and swim endurance.
Water Safety: Emphasis on supervised swimming and personal water safety skills.
Wristband Program:
Students are assigned a wristband color based on swim skill level to ensure safety and proper supervision during swim sessions.
🎡 Friday Field Trips
Field trips take place every Friday.
Destinations vary and may include amusement parks, skating rinks, nature parks, and educational museums.
Details about each week’s trip (departure times, special items to bring, etc.) will be communicated through our weekly newsletter.
Important: Trips are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled or replaced with special in-house events if necessary.

This year, Wilde Lake Karate is proud to incorporate dedicated fitness programming into our summer camp experience:
Age-appropriate strength and endurance training
Cardio workouts and obstacle courses

Fitness sessions are designed to complement our martial arts training and support overall health and well-being.

Field trips and outdoor activities are subject to cancellation or modification due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Safety is our top priority, and all changes will be communicated to parents via email and text.
